GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
- RESERVATION FORMALIZATION AND PAYMENT METHODS
Contact to check the availability of boats will be made in the manner agreed upon by both companies. To formalize a reservation either via the web or phone, it is understood that the dates are blocked from the moment Mallorcaglobalcharter receives a transfer or payment of the agreed reservation percentage with the boat owner, or 100% of the total charter cost (including VAT).
In the case of making the reservation, the remaining amount must be paid on the day of boarding, before the start of the rental, through one of the following payment methods: Debit/credit card, Cash, Bank transfer (upon consultation with the owner). If paying 100%, Mallorcaglobalcharter will proceed with the payment of the rental, deducting the agreed commission with the boat owner or company. Once the reservation is formalized, a document with the reservation information, boat location, and customer information will be provided to the client and the renting company or owner.
- CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations more than 60 days before the boat’s departure date: the penalty will be 0% of the rental price. Cancellations less than 30 days before the boat’s departure date: the penalty will be 20% or the agreed percentage to block the reservation, cancellations 15 days before or on the same day of the reservation, the penalty will be 100% of the rental, different cancellation terms and conditions may apply depending on the rented boat. In case the charter cannot be carried out due to bad weather conditions or problems with the boat, the company or owner of the boat must generate a “voucher” that will be given to the client to enjoy the charter within the next 365 calendar days or the reservation amount will be refunded.
- FUEL
If fuel is not included in the rental price. All boats will be delivered with a full tank, and it is the customer’s responsibility to return them with a full tank upon returning to port.
- DEPOSIT
The boat owner may require a security deposit to rent the boat at the time of signing the rental contract. The CLIENT must pay a deposit as a guarantee for any damage, loss, breakage, or deterioration caused by the misuse of the boat and its contents. Mallorcaglobalcharter cannot manage the deposit for a rental where the contract stipulates that the deposit is managed by the boat owner or where the deposit amount is not completed and/or indicated as zero euros. The Lessee agrees to have sufficient funds in their bank account for the direct debit of the security deposit at the time of the reservation request.
The deposit formalization can be done via credit card or cash at the departure port. If done with a credit card, the deposit refund period will be determined by the bank’s conditions (usually 8-10 days).
- RETURN
A delay in returning the boat will be penalized with a payment of €50 for every 30 minutes of delay. The boat must be returned at the same pickup point in the delivery port, respecting the schedule agreed in the contract.
