GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
- FORMALIZATION OF THE RESERVATION AND PAYMENT METHODS
Contact to check boat availability will be made as agreed upon by both companies. To formalize a reservation, whether via the website or telephone, dates are secured from the moment Mallorcaglobalcharter receives a transfer or payment of the percentage agreed upon with the boat owner, or 100% of the total charter cost (VAT included). If a reservation is made, the remaining amount must be paid on the day of embarkation, prior to the start of the charter, using one of the following payment methods: Debit/credit card, Cash, or Bank transfer (in consultation with the owner). If 100% is paid, Mallorcaglobalcharter will proceed with the rental payment, deducting the commission agreed upon with the boat owner or company. Once the reservation is formalized, the client and the chartering company or owner will receive a document with the reservation information, the location of the boats, and the client’s information.
- CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations made more than 60 days before the boat’s departure date will have a 0% penalty of the charter price. Cancellations made less than 30 days before the boat’s departure date will have a 20% penalty or the agreed percentage to block the reservation. Cancellations made 15 days before or on the day of the reservation will have a 100% penalty of the charter price. Different cancellation terms and conditions may apply depending on the boat chartered. In the event that the charter cannot be carried out due to adverse weather conditions or problems with the boat, the company or owner of the boat must generate a “voucher” that will be given to the client, allowing them to enjoy the charter within the next 365 calendar days, or the reservation amount will be refunded.
- FUEL
If fuel is not included in the rental price, all boats will be delivered with a full tank, and it is the client’s responsibility to return them with a full tank upon return to port.
- BAIL
The boat owner may require a security deposit for the rental of the boat at the time of signing the rental contract. The CLIENT must pay a deposit to cover any damage, loss, breakage, or damage caused by misuse of the boat and its contents. Mallorcaglobalcharter cannot manage the security deposit for a rental where the contract stipulates that the security deposit is managed by the boat owner or where the security deposit amount is not paid in full and/or is set to zero euros. The Renter agrees to have sufficient funds in their bank account to deposit the security deposit at the time of the reservation request.
The security deposit can be paid by credit card or cash at the port of departure. If paid by credit card, the refund period will be determined by the bank’s terms and conditions (usually 8-10 days).
- RETURN
Late returns of the boat will be penalized with a €50 fee for every 30 minutes of delay. The boat must be returned to the same pickup point at the port of delivery, respecting the schedule agreed in the contract.
